Hey dear friend! My name is Rodolfo Vergara and I'm an entrepreneur. I think I should start my story by saying that I born from goodly parents. I have the hardest worker parents anyone could have, and I learned to work hard because of them.

My dad took me to work in a fruit factory every single summer since I was 15 years old. I hated it at times, but I did it and I learned so many lessons from that. The biggest one was to realized what I didn't want for my life. I meet people who were doing that for 40 years, everyday, hard work from 8-5. 

 

DROPPED AT SCHOOL

I walked away from the classroom and I never came back again! That was when I quit school in 2010. I was studying international business and I spent most of my classes watching YouTube videos about it. I thought, what the heck! I'm paying for watching free YouTube videos instead of getting taught by professors what they know.

What in the world I'm paying them! for that reason, during one class while we were watching YouTube videos, I decided to leave the classroom and I never came back. My parents weren't very happy about that decision but it feels right. 

That happy while I was living in Chile. Chile is a great country, but there is only one option to make a life there, is through years of years of hard education. The problem was that I never felt passionate about being in a classroom, probably because I was talking about the wrong class. 

TRAVELING TO USA

Was in 2011 when I knew I wanted something bigger for my life and I knew I couldn't get it in Chile. Coming to USA was an option and after a lot of paperwork, I applied as an English student. 

I knew that learning English was going to be one of the best investment I could get. I was very interested in businesses, and Chile had very good relationships and trade deals with Chine. However, all the communication with the Chinese was done in English. I knew I needed to learn it. 

 I got accepted in an English school here in USA and I travel to USA in 2012.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE

While I was going to school, I meet the most beautiful women I've ever seen. She was dating this awesome guy that was studying neuroscience. I thought that she was totally out of my league. 

Long story short, she broke up with him, we start dating a couple of months later, and after 5 months we got married. Emily has been the love of my life and the most wonderful women I've ever meet. Now we have 3 wonderful kids together in one on the way. 

INTERNET MARKETING

After I got married, we didn't have anything. My wife was doing an internship and I didn't have a job. I was waiting for my work permit and was a very hard time for me. We got pregnant, but we didn't have the resources to do much. I remember that I felt so terrible about it, my wife was going to work and I was at home not doing anything. 

One of those days, something happening. I started to remember those days at college when I was watching YouTube videos. Then I thought, well if I was paying for getting an education through free information available on the internet, I wasn't doing that now. 

I went to Google and I type how to "make money from home". That was the search that changes my life forever. I was introduced to online marketing and a whole universe was open. 

BECOMING THE BEST

I made so many mistakes that the first year doing internet marketing. I got fraud by so many scammers. I bought so many courses from these guys that were claiming to make millions of millions of dollars, but they were just bs.

I learned the lessons. I start finding just the best marketers, very quickly I realized that these experts never thought a get-rich-quick scheme. They thought processes and working systems. I fall in love with marketing and I start getting good at it.

By 2014, I learned SEO, Web development, Facebook advertising, and Google advertising. I decided to go back to school and I enrolled in a social media marketing program.

In 2015 I got hired by a company and I took over all their online marketing. The pay was ok, I got a great team and the best thing is this company had a big advertising budget.

The results were awesome, we went from 50 leads a month to 1500 leads a month, the sales team triple, and we hire more people to help with marketing. Was a great time, however, I knew I could it do more.

STARTING MY OWN MARKETING AGENCY

The results that I was getting for this company came from a couple of hours of work a month, the rest of the time I spend it in listening to the sales teams makes the sales, optimizing the campaigns and playing ping pong (I'm dang good at it). 

I thought that if I could get those results with that little effort I could it do it for several businesses at the same time. That is when I got interested in starting my own marketing agency.

I got approached by an investor who got multiple businesses, he told me that he needed marketing to his businesses and also we could it a partner and get more clients.

We created a marketing agency and we build an awesome marketing team. 

We worked with so many businesses, big and small. This was such a wonderful time with my team and also, I learn so much with all the experiences we have with this different business. 

BUILDING MY OWN EMPIRE

Like everything in my life, I get bored or I want something bigger. After two years doing my marketing agency, I realized that by doing marketing for other companies, I wasn't building an asset for my own. In other words, if a company wanted to end our contract, I needed to find a new company to replace that revenue. There was no leverage. 

Also, I felt that I was smarter and more capable than most of these business owners, but was them who owned the asset and not me. 

For all those reasons I decided to start a few companies on my own. Because I'm very good at SEO, I own a roofing business I get the leads and I have a roofer who does the job. I still have a couple of clients and partners with where I provide strategic input. I'm building a software company as we speak and I have the blessing to work from home with amazing people and teach others to do the same.
